Lisle Turkey shoots format

Shotgun (most common): Shooters use shotguns to fire at paper targets placed at a specific distance (e.g., 25–35 yards). The winner is the person whose single shot’s pellet hole is closest to the center of the target.

Rifle: In some cases, particularly for “big bore” events, rifles are used instead of shotguns. These events can involve multiple stages at different distances (e.g., 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m) and categories based on sights or rifles used.

Scoring: In traditional shooting, scoring is simple: the closest to the bullseye wins. Some events may have more complex scoring systems, such as the “Fill the Freezer” match where the goal is to hit a certain number of targets, and ties are broken by the number of shots used.

Looking forward to 2026. ADSC will be hosting Turkey Shoots as per suggested format at the Lisle Acres formally TOS Property. Preparations and time frames will be determined in Spring.

Storage container (Can) will be on location to house all portable targets, benches and plates and clay thrower. Reference point for clay shooting will be established. It is intended that ADSC will host one shoot per month, unlike previous arrangements only selected and approved members will have access knowledge and combination to the property.

As soon as all requirements are in place and operational a schedule will be in place.

More to come still under construction.
